Digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate is being developed

The introduction of a digital vaccination card is making progress. In January, a vaccination section was opened in the My Kanta Pages of the Kanta Service, which is intended to be developed into a comprehensive database of all vaccines received. The database will be a digital vaccination card for citizens, and it is planned to replace paper certificates.
In the first phase, a digital certificate will only be available for the COVID-19 vaccination. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health is in the process of preparing a COVID-19 certificate for the My Kanta Pages service, which will show that a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19. The information on the certificate would be consistent with the international model of vaccination certificates, which would allow it to be used in other countries if required.
The plan is to launch the digital COVID-19 vaccination certificate in May 2021. The goal is that at a later stage certificates will be available from the My Kanta Pages service for all other vaccinations received.
